Titans looking for a signature win against upstart Yellow Jackets

Toledo - BCSN Thursday night High School soccer will broadcasting live from Lyden Field as the Titans of St. John's Jesuit plays host to the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets.  After the Titans were dismantled by the Sylvania Northview last Thursday, the Titans are looking for a quality win against a stout NLL side.  The Titans who defeated Perrysburg last season in the District Final in overtime are paced by First-Team All-Ohioan and District Player of the Year Camden Buescher (Sr, MF/F) and the attacking tandem of Cam Miller (Sr, F), Leo Gomez (Soph, F/MF) and Zack Roller (Sr, F) will look to give the Yellow Jackets problems at the back.  As for the Yellow Jackets, first-year Head Coach Brandon Decker (former BGSU standout and assistant at Richfield Revere H.S.) has this team going in the right direction - coming off a stellar performance over the weekend against perennial power Jackson (Massillon) 1-0 and on Tuesday they cruised by a young Maumee side 9-0, this Perrsyburg team has seen many state-ranked team and are ready to face battle with another quality opponent in St. John's Jesuit.  Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets are the attacking group of Kyle Wyrick (Sr. F), Andrew Bosworth (Jr, F) and Logan Giesige (Jr, F) - a very steady midfield Perrysburg possess with senior Tyler Wenzelman and sophomore Elion Damsi can create and be threats in the run of play with their distribution coming from deep parts of the midfield. Senior Jacob Kirby anchors the back while senior goalkeeper Kyle Rowan continues to keep the Yellow Jackets in matches. This game has a lot at stake for state tournament seeding - always important to collect a quality win to build a resume for selection Sunday.
